Cystic Fibrosis Foundation: Clinical Trials Site Admin Creation, Site Upgrade & Migration http://www.clintrials.org The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation created the Clinical Trials Registry to share information about clinical trials being conducted internationally. The Seva Group was called to create a web-enabled Administrative Back end to allow CFF staff to review, edit, hold, reject and approval submissions. JeanneGrrl performed a full analysis on the existing site, reviewing data structures and interface. She created a data model designed to be flexible while retaining existing information and worked closely with the client to create a storyboard based on the requirements for the Administrative Interface. She also provided a list of recommended changes for the existing site based on the earlier analysis. The site was developed using ASP, vbScript, Javascript and HTML. Features include full client-side validation for forms, search and sort ability for the trials and secure login to the Administrative Area. JeanneGrrl was also responsible for the testing, error checking and launching of the site. Later, JeanneGrrl identified an opportunity for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) to save over 6k annually by moving their site from an external hosting provider to their internal ASP server. She was responsible for migrating the site, minimizing perceived "down-time" (due to DNS propagation) and migrating the database to SQL server to facilitate future site growth.
